Custom Design Ring (Triangle Rose cut Pinky Ring)
Posted on December 08 2017
Triangle, trillion- cut diamonds are not the most popular cuts but if you are looking for unique shape this can be what you want.
Trillion-cut diamonds usually refers to the triangle shape with curved three edges and slightly rounded points. Triangle-cut diamonds have straight edges and point.
The project started out as a customer wanting to have a pinky ring with triangle diamond. It should be really comfortable so we wanted to make sure the center diamond doesn't stick out much. Instead of typical cuts, we found rose cut and macles (uncut raw trianlge diamond) from our diamond vendor to be best choices. These diamonds do not carry weight on the bottom at all so they appear larger than what the typical 0.4-0.5ct would look.
Can you see that the ones on the left are slightly more yellowish? These are around color G-I range.
0.45ct rose cut (top left) is the winner!
Here are photos of the finished ring. It took us about 5weeks from searching the stone, sketching, casting and final setting work.
If you are thinking about pinky ring, finger size needs to be tighter than you think. My customer tells me the ring is very comfortable, not slide off easily and that she loves how this ring is wide but open and airy. :)
This ring looks so cool on the fourth finger too!
BE YOU BE UNIQUE!
